Relic: Olympic Rings, Tower Bridge, London 2012

The Olympic Rings were added to Tower Bridge 30 days before the London 2012 Olympics, and weighed 3 tonnes and cost £300,000.  They were retractable for when ships passed underneath.

Photos taken on the 18 August 2012, just 3 days before the Olympic Rings were removed in preparation for the Paralympics.
