Delayed sleep

A modern curse?

Repeated waking

Time’s a blur

Tick tock goes the clock

The light’s too bright

The breathing too loud

Husband’s snores begin to grate

Sweet revenge – he’s kicked awake

All too soon he settles back

A nudge

An elbow

We’ll soon sort that….

  1. Ahh, the joys of an awakening due to snoring and the ensuing inability to return to slumber due to the offensive grating noise. A kick may be harsh, but I understand the sentiment. I just usually nudge her.
